Since doing business with Digital Etailers.com, I have found many complaints about them and would like to add mine. I ordered an Olympus Camera online on September 29, 2005 and received a confirmation email stating that the camera had been shipped and would arrive on October 6th. When it hadn't arrived by October 8th, I called to inquire. I was on hold for so long that I decided to email instead. When I hadn't received a reply by that afternoon, I called again and this time finally was able to speak to a rep. who checked my order number only to tell me that the camera not only hadn't been shipped at all, it was out of stock and he couldn't tell me when it would be back in stock and suggested that I chose a different camera. I didn't want a different camera, so I asked him to cancel the order and credit my Visa account. Later that day, I receive an answer to my email of that morning advising me that the camera had been shipped and would arrive on October 10th. I had ordered elsewhere after canceling the non existent camera with Digital Etailers and when the camera arrived on the 10th, I contacted them per their instructions to return the camera. I paid $10.25 to ship/insure the camera as directed by Digital Etailers. Finally, on November 6th, I received a credit on my Visa...minus their shipping fee and not reimbursing me for the fee to ship this camera back to them either. I am now out $23.05 for attempting to do business with Digital Etailers.com.
How can a merchant tell you your item has been shipped when it hasn't, then tell you it's not in stock, and then ship it on the very day that they say it's not available? It's like nobody on this site knows what is going on, nor do they care.
