Online Florist:

After a few friends success of ordering flowers online for their wedding, I decided to try it myself for my September wedding. I ordered my flowers months in advance & placed an order for a large amount of roses, lilies, petals and fillers. The flowers arrived the friday afternoon before my sunday wedding in a rather small box. I opened the box and was pleased to see that the roses looked nice. After pulling out all the roses I was horrified to see the lilies that were to be used for all the table centerpieces smashed at the bottom of the box. (when my friend had purchased lilies from another online co. the lilies were carefully individually wrapped on each stem) The leaves were browned, the petals and stems bent. They looked like they had been ran over. I called the co. and spoke to a woman about the dead lilies.

Without seeing them she declared that they were fine and that I just needed to trim them down. Pull the dead flowers, etc. Doing that would leave me with about 10 decent lilies from the 60 stem order. After I explained again the bad condition she insisted I take photos of the flowers & e-mail them to her so the manager could review them. Well, I am a photographer so I quickly shot detailed photos of the flowers and mailed them to her. She said she would call back when her manager came back in from break, but never called so I called again. She said her manager was still not in. I asked her to overnight some alive flowers in white and she told me that they were all out of what I ordered, all out of anything white, and that I could be issued a store credit. What good is a store credit to a bride getting married in two days? I was beginning to lose my patience with this completely unapologetic women. She was not trying to help me out, and was insistent that the dead lilies were alive. ( my cousin that drove in for the wedding used to work for an exotic flower co. when she was younger and confirmed to me their bad condition) Finally I got the flower sales person to reveal to me that they did have some more roses similar to the ones I ordered. I decided to have them ship those to me despite the fact that I still

had to elsewhere find white flowers last minute to work with the burgandy vases I had planned. After arguing back & forth with the woman I angrily mentioned that I should contact my credit card company. I should have said this to her hours earlier because it finally got some reaction. She immediately started yelling at me and said I would have to speak to the manager. (Yes, the manager who had apparently been out all day, that I could not earlier speak to, but would have to be the one to handle issuing me new flowers) The manager got on the phone and started to yell at me! (not kidding) He said I threatened cancelled payment and if I wanted them to send additional roses to replace the lilies I would have to send a signed e-mail saying I will NOT dispute payment with the co. He said if I did not send an e-mail saying I will not cancel payment he will charge my credit card for the additional

flowers. ( Um, that is illegal) I was literally in a mall with my maid of honor doing last minute shopping for the wedding with this crazy guy yell at me. I was so furious, how dare he act that way to a paying

customer who is not satisfied with the service. I could go on more, but I think the point is made. Do not order from www.onlinewholesaleflowers.com. They only care about getting your money. Customer care and satisfaction does not matter to them. Luckily, I live in Los Angeles close to the flower district. I wanted to avoid last minute shopping which is why I thought to buy online, but the flower district was great. I could see the condition of the flowers and bought beautiful lilies for a good deal. I wish I would have done the entire wedding that way. Doing the flowers ourselves worked out good in the end but if you insist on buying online do yourself a favor and read a ton of reviews. You do not want to be a bride in panic, ripped off and yelled at two days before your wedding!
