Hi, I have cancelled my SBI Credit Card few months back. The reason was the process to pay back the money. The last payment I have made against my expenses was Rs. 11,261/= (Eleven thousand two hundred and sixty one). To pay the amount due I have deposited cheque in time in the SBI Mysore, Madiwala Branch ATM. That address for deposit I got from the internet. Later when I received a call for the payment due with the late fee, I was surprised. I called up SBI credit card call center. After talking to few personnel and finally the one who called himself authority there, I came to know that I was supposed to drop the cheque in the drop box kept inside the branch not in the drop box put in ATM. I am pretty sure that there was no such information at that drop box. I told him about the confusion and he agreed to waive off the late payment charges. Next day one person came and collected the payment (I cancelled the old cheque and issued the new one for the same payment). I like to mention here, after that I have never used my SBI credit card. In the next month statement I saw the late fee again. The personnel left me in bad impression about SBI credit card and I decided to cancel the card as the promised was not being kept. After that I have not paid any amount till the next time I received call from your personnel regarding the payment. I told him all these and asked her to cancel my card. She suggested me to pay the minimum amount of Rs. 200/= (Two hundred) and put a written application for cancellation. I did the same. As the status today my card is cancelled and every month I am getting the statement and it is accumulating the amount. I am wondering why I am being asked to pay the amount that I have never spend or used. I am not ready to pay any amount as I have not spent any money using that card.
