I recently had a very bad experience with SBC Yahoo. I have cancelled my service the next day my DSL service was activated. The billing department confirmed that the internet service

was cancelled and I would not owe them any more money. I just need to send them back the equipment. So, I did send them back the equipment.

 

I just got a new bill this month. They have slapped on the internet charges. So, after being on the wait for more than an hour I was able to get hold of a CSR at SBC. They advised me that they did receive the equipment but I am still responsible for the entire year's worth of internet charges!!!!!!!!!!!! I told them that the CSR who took care of my cancellation told me that I would not be responsible for any internet service charges since I have cancelled within the 30 days of my DSL service start date. The CSR today said that I was misinformed and I would still be responsible for the entire year's charges. This is absolutely ridiculous and total

misrepresentation on SBC's part. So, I am thinking of complaining to BBB.

 

I have looked around the net and found that lots of consumers have had bad experiences with SBC. I think we could easily file a collectively complaint against SBC so that all our accounts

are justly rectified.

 

Please let me know if you are still having problems with SBC.
