RE: Response to IIG's posting of Sept. 22nd, 2004
Apparently, Infinity Incentive Group responded to my complaint on the www.complaints.com website saying that everything is resolved and that did not want to pay PEAK time taxes for my travel dates.
True, I refused to pay PEAK time fees for the travel dates I had chosen, because there is no way for me to know when there is an "off Season" time....even "Off-season", the charge was $223.00 for two people. Remember, those are ONLY taxes...note that an airfare ticket to LV can be bought for abt. $99.00 one way?! Taxes would not come to more than $25.00 per person...that's $50.00. Hence, our Hotel Taxes would have been abt. $180.00 for ONE room?! Does this not sound a bit outrageaus? O.k., let's say Airfare tax is $60.00 per person (which would be a first clas ticket)...that is $120.00 and then we would have paid $80.00 on TAXES for ONE hotel room...does that make sense???
IIG posted their response to my complaint on Sept. 2004 saying that everything was resolved. Let me tell you that the only thing that got resolved was that I FINALLY got my initial deposit back for $100.00 AFTER I proved to their Acct. Dept. that I had paid $100.00, not $50.00 as their Acct. records showed.
After over 1 year of struggling, talking, mailing all correspondence via Certified mail and proving to them that I had done everything the way I was supposed to, I got a refund back...and that is what IIG calls "Resolved" without ever asking me whether the issues were REALLY resolved. Thank gooodness for keeping copies of all my correspondence with them on file.
The lady I finally talked to by the name of Loroise was nice and helpful even though she was not able to do much more than to initiate follow-ups and try to make the best of a bad situation. If it was not for her, I would have surely believed in a SCAM. After all, which company will have a website with e-mail option that does not allow any e-mails to be sent to IIG? And which company would provide a phone number on the origianl voucher that basically allows you to only leave messages on and answering machine? And which company would not call back a customer after multiple messages? Which company would forget abt. a customer even after thise multiple messages...AND which company would charge TAXES of an amount $223.00 for 2 regular FREE airfare tickets and 3 nights at a hotel (should be a first class air ticket and a 4 star hotel)!!!
Having said all this, I suggest that IIG seriously looks at their company philosophy and they should implement the following to clarify that they are not a SCAM company (which they are not, apparently):
1. provide a working e-mail address on THEIR website
2. provide more than one telephone line (which currently is busy abt. 80% of the time and if you get through, you get an answering machine)
3. explain how they derive to the amount of TAXES to be paid by a customer by giving detailed information on the airline ticket price exclusive taxes and Hotel Room price per night
4. follow-up courtesy call that a deposit was received and that the customer will hear back within 3-4 months (and if that does not happen, provide an alternate phone number for follow-up purposes).
I hope, this clarifies things a bit,
Regards,
Mira
