Pathetic Service of Airtel Chennai Prepaid Pathetic Service of Airtel Chennai Prepaid November 29, 2005 Sir, I am a customer of AIRTEL CHENNAI PREPAID and my number is 919840341sss and my name is Balaji.S. Few weeks before AIRTEL CHENNAI PREPAID introduced a new Scheme/Promotion in prepaid called ADD-ON where i can make call to one particular local airtel number at 10 paise/min through out the day. I purchased a new SIM for RS 199.00 and the Number is 919840039234 and activated the same as my ADD ON number on 17-11-2005 and got the confirmation message from the SERVER 767 stating that it will get activated within 48 working hours. To my surprise , when i checked after 2 days it was not activated. When i called the Customer Service , I got a reply stating that it will take another 24Hrs to get it activated. From that day i used to call the Customer Service everyday to know the status of activation. I suppose till now its not done. I am very much frustrated with this kind of service and i believe this problem is not happening only with my number. I am really worried about all the customers of AIRTEL CHENNAI PREPAID who activated the facility called ADD ON. Now i am planning to disconnect my number with AIRTEL CHENNAI PREPAID and go to some other service provider. Not only me , but my brother too. ITS NOT A MATTER OF PAYING RS 199.00 for a new SIM Card , ITS A BREACH OF TRUST THAT I HAD IN A WELL KNOWN COMPANY CALLED AIRTEL AND AIRTEL CHENNAI PREPAID FAILED TO RESPECT THAT. I need clarification for some questions what i have that are listed below. 1. How Airtel can advertise as the best network when there are lots of problems like this? 2. Is there really exist a team/department called technical in AIRTEL CHENNAI PREPAID and if so .. does it really work? 3. I think AIRTEL CHENNAI PREPAID is least bothered about the prepaid customers and use them just to show the customer base. Is that so? 4. Why the Team Leaders/Supervisors in AIRTEL CHENNAI PREPAID Customer Service are always on a MEETING and never willing to solve the Customer's problem or atleast speak with the Customer? 5. Why should i continue with this pathetic service of AIRTEL CHENNAI PREPAID after all this annoying experiences? 6. Are the Schemes/Promotions provided by AIRTEL CHENNAI PREPAID are really worth or its just an eyewash to the customers? 7. Why dont i just go to complaint this issue to TRAI and let them know the Quality of the schemes/promotions given by AIRTEL CHENNAI PREPAID which i am doing now? 8. Even before sending this mail , I contacted the Customer Service. I got the reply as expected - NOT YET ACTIVATED. I have these questions in my mind and probably the officials of AIRTEL CHENNAI PREPAID will be having the answers. I need the feedback regarding this issue to my email id and nobody should contact me in either of this number since i need the proof for action that AIRTEL CHENNAI PREPAID taking in this issue or contact me in my Brother's number which is 919840672sss.
