My complaint is that my husband has been paying for this short term disability coverage thru his employer, He recently went out for carpal tunnel surgery in september of 05, we filed a sickness claim with them for the 9 weeks he had to be out of his job, We filled out all of the paper work, had the doctor who did the surgery do the paper work that he had to complete then we faxed it all to them. They first started to do the delay game with us saying that they hadnt got all the pages even tho we had confrimation showing that they had. so we refaxed all the information again, then we get a call and they tell us that it would take them another 10 days to complete the paper work and we would have an answer by october 31,05 , Well noone called me from there so we called them and was told that they needed more information on the claim, we then had more information faxed to them and they still had proceed to take another 10 days for that well its now 11/29/05 and we have been told today that they are not going to cover his sickness claim. My complaint is that we have been paying for this coverage every time we get paid and they dragged us threw the mud so to speak about wanting more information, then after more and more was faxed they would tell us that they needed more, and now they are denieing us the coverage. well I want a complaint to go out to others to let them know that there advertisement of "if you are out of work this insurance coverage will pay your bills" its a lie people are paying money into this and nothing is happing, by the time you get done the run around with all the faxing and more information needed you are back to work and have lost your place because they dont pay out the money . so what are we paying for ??????

We have lost all the money we have paid for this coverage and they get to decied if they want to cover you or not .
