e-cost - Panacer Rebate G501 on Gem GM-190B Monitor e-cost - Panacer Rebate G501 on Gem GM-190B Monitor November 29, 2005 I purchased a GM190B monitor from Ecost.com on July 15, 2005. Panacer International rebate G501 promised a mail in end user rebate of $100. I was actually able to reach someone at Panacer on the phone (626-581-0066) in early October. I was told that the rebate had not yet been processed and that I should receive it sometime in mid November. Today, 11/29/05, I attempted to call Panacer again to check on the rebate. All I got was dead air, not even a ring. After about 10 seconds their phone simply hung up on me. So I tried their website and guess what? It no longer exists!! They are one slippery outfit, hoping that I will just forget about the $100 that they owe me. they are WRONG. I am going to process a claim with the Federal Trade Commission and the New Jersey Attorney General. In the future, I will simply assume that rebates offered by Ecost.com are bogus. Ecost, you are reading this also. How about stepping up to the plate and backing your customers who may very well become former customers. Paul
