Craft Store, Sunnyvale, CA I purchased several items from Michael's Craft Store in Sunnyvale California on Saturday November 26. On Sunday, November 27th, I noticed a few of the items that I purchased had gone on sale. I took my receipt back to Michaels on Monday afternoon, Nov. 28th indicating that I had bought several items that had gone on sale and would like to know if I could get a refund for those items. I was told that I needed to bring the items back in order to receive the refund. I politely told the cashier that I had already put my Christmas decorations up and would not be able to bring it in. She proceeded to tell me that I needed to bring the items in to receive the refund. I think this is absurd, as I have never had a problem with any stores refusing to give me a refund for an item that went on sale the following week. This is ridiculous. Can you imagine purchasing a large item, ex: Christmas tree and having to bring it back just to receive a refund????? Thanks for your assistance,

Yes, it would have been nice for them to refund the difference, but it's still up to them to follow the store policy. In other words, they didn't need to. It's a shame this petty grievance lives on the internet and casts bad light on an otherwise great store. Ridiculous? Not really.
