Tempur-Pedic mattress & company performs poorly

This is a complaint about Tempur-Pedic mattresses. I personally have had a terrible experience with them and, after doing some web research, see that 10-20% of T-P customers also have bad experiences. My Tempur-Pedic mattress performed as advertised for 2-3 years. Then the consistency of the "molding behavior" changed so that certain parts of my body sink lower and others are pushed up higher. This really hurts! I'm convinced it's the cause of major lower back and hip pain (the areas

pushed out of whack) I now have, because sleeping on a friend's standard bed doesn't generate the problems (I'm an otherwise healthy, athletic male in my 30s). When I called Tempur-Pedic to follow on their performance guarantee, I received very poor, "not our problem/can't respond" behavior. Better Business Bureau was unable to budge them about a refund after 3 interactions among us, and they refused even to admit a problem. I hate the company and the bed now and have finally decided to

We're having the same problem as the original poster after only six months and we're getting rid of the bed.

Because you sink into the mattress you don't move or turn during the night, and this can aggravate back problems.

It will get worse over time as the mattress gets softer.

My wife and I now wake up in pain every morning and it's not unusual for me to get up during the night and sleep on the floor. The "20 year warranty" is a joke and covers nothing.

Google "tempurpedic complaints" and don't buy this mattress.

My husband and i bought our mattress about 1 month ago. He loves it, I cant stand it. Last night when I said (at 4 in the morning because I couldnt sleep on it anymore) "were getting rid of this bed!" This morning when my husband found me on the floor because I would rather sleep on the floor any day then to lay in that soft mushy hot peice of expensive crap, He told me that doctors recommend these beds to pateints with bad backs! how can that be? My back wasn't as bad as it is now! Its killing me! my entire body hurts! My husband tells me that i must love the bed because i dont want to wake up in the mornings when in reality i cant get up because of the extremem pain that I feel every morning. I want to burn the house down to get rid of this mattress Since my husband loves this thing and does not want to discus getting rid of it at all. I swear...I cried last night that I couldnt sleep and i had to subject myself to this torture.
