Dear Sir or Madam, I started to ring a telephone number in England at 6.30 pm today. When all I heardfrom my phone was that which sounded like an out of order signal one loud and one fainter beep, I rang Optus service on 131344 to find out what the problem might be, time that an operator voice recording answered was 7.08pm Wednesday 30/11/05.

Every few minutes a recorded voice tells me "sorry for the delay, your call will be answered shortly."

I am still connected to the service without being assisted and the time is now 8.10pm.

THERE IS NOW A PHONE CALLING SIGNAL WHICH TELLS ME AN OPERATOR MAY BE GOING TO ANSWER MY CALL.

NO SUCH LUCK IT IS JUST RINGING AND RINGING.

 

I ONLY CHANGED my telephone account to the 99 plan recently, 2 days ago. maybe this has something to do with it

Good golly miss molly, someone has answered the phone

and the time is 8.12pm.

 

Time now is 8.20pm and Ihave been given another wait to be put through to another operator.

 

I just want to ring my 94 year old Aunt in the UK to wish her a Happy Birthday. At this rate she will be well on her way to her 95th! A voice recording has told me that she is sorry for the delay! Well guess what! I am going to hang up this phone and have my dinner, one hour and 15 mins late. I bet it is cold now.Funny to hear the music saying 'Just say the word! what word is that now? GOODNITE OPTUS so much for your service, what service, well may you ask! the time is now 8.30pm.
