ACN

November 29, 2005

Hello,

My fiance joined with ACN and the bills that he got from them were horrific. He was told by an ACN rep that his bill would be capped at $79. His bill was $420. When we called ACN a young girl tried to explain to me how the bill was not for a whole month so it was for only 18 days and was pro-ratered. She had a calculator and so did I and she went through the bill. She was not able to reach the amount on the bill! I told her that my fiance was told his bill would be $79, that there is obviously no cap at all, that he joined to save money not to spend more. She said that his second bill will be $79. I asked for a manager to call me back and she said she booked the appointment for 12noon the same day. No-one called. His second bill was $480. I called them again. The record said that we were called and no-one answered! We were waiting for that call. I spoke about the bill again and this time the included calls were not $500 it was $421 and apparently they now take the $79 off the $500 included calls. The way they work out the bill is very confusing and meant to make people think that the bill is right and they should just pay it because talking about it is too hard. This time I was told a manager would call me back. A manager did call me back, a young man who spoke so fast to confuse me I had to ask him to stop and start again. I was trying to understand the twisted way they work out the bill and write this down to explain it to my fiance. He is a bit deaf from using a nail gun so I knew they would just waffle to him on the phone and he wouldn't ask them to slow down. This young man Frank Valenzuela explained the twisted way they work out the bill. I realized that the bill is right, but the rates are high and the way they work out the bill is unbelievably shonky. Craig changed to ACN to save money but ended up on higher rates. On their so-called $79 Cap Plan they charge 30 cents per 30 seconds and if you are 1 second over they of course charge you 30 cents for that 1 second. They charge 25 cents connection fee. 25cents for sms and of course special calls are not included. But there is no cap. There is no $79 cap. The only place that 79 appears is in the middle of the twisted way they work out the bill. It's not a cap. Anyway I said to the young man that we won't be paying the bill because the fact that they lied makes the contract null and void. We promptly went back to Telstra, who I know have been known to add fake telephone calls to accounts but I still think they're the best we've got. I don't believe that all network marketing companies are bad but the majority that lie and sneak and rip you off should be brought down. This is not about money, we could pay that bill easy. This is about cheating money out of hard HONEST workers and then avoiding them afterwards. This is a very organized pyramid scheme with big guns behind it loving the money it brings them ever so unethically. We even got a bill with $135 in late fees! It's now at $1040. We won't be paying it. ACN can go jump. I spoke to Frank again after the late fees bill, I asked to speak to someone higher than him and he wouldn't let me. I told him he's protecting them and asked why he won't give me any names. He gave me they're PO box address so that we can sue them. I asked who I should I address it too but he was not going to give me any names. We will be getting people we know to leave ACN. Maybe one of these days ACN will have to change some of it's ways but until people start walking away from them they will always be in business, the business of ripping people off.

Lynette
