Home Depot Home Depot November 28, 2005 At Home Services 6770 Oak Hall Lane Suite 109 Columbia MD 21045 877-632-8346 Job 1595028 On March 16, 2005 a Home Depot Sales Consultant by the name of Mike Fish came to our house. He presented to us the 6500 series windows which we were really satisfied with. By the end of the consultation we ordered 9 windows and wrote a check (#1200) for the amount of one thousand nine hundred and eighteen dollars. About 6 days later a gentleman by the name of Scott came to the house to do the required second measurement of our windows. At the time we decided to add one more window. Scott contacted Mike Fish and the change to the contract was made and the order is now in for all ten windows. On April 6, 2005, Sharon Obrien(?, not positive on last name), called my house and said that the windows were indeed in their possession and ready to be installed. We set the appointment at the time of the phone call for April 15, 2005 between 8 and 10 in the morning. On April 14, 2005 at 6 p.m., Sharon calls and lets us know that the guy doing the job was unable to make the appointment for one reason or another. This was highly frustrating because Zak and myself already made requests to have the day off and at SIX IN THE EVENING it is a little hard to get a hold of work and make changes. So, I called Zak and let him know the exciting news that we are going to have to wait another week and planned to request off for the following Friday from work. I called Sharon back and she set up the appointment for April 22, 2005 between 8-10 in the morning. April 22, 2005, I personally sat in front of the door for EIGHT AND A HALF HOURS WAITING FOR THE CREW TO SHOW UP WITH MY WINDOWS. About 11:30 a.m. I made my first call to Sharon. No answer. Second call around 12:15 p.m. No answer and I left a messege. Third call was placed around 1:20. No answer. Fourth call was placed around 2:15. Yep, NO ANSWER. I left a messege. The last and final call was at 4:30, with the same annoying voice mail picking up. Following the phone calls and messeges, I than decided to email the sales consultant Mike Fish. The email was completed and sent at 6:07 p.m. I was not contacted AT ALL, AT ANY POINT, OF THIS DAY. Being that we work at all times of the week it is very hard and difficult to take off work and it will be extremely hard for it being the THIRD TIME IN THREE WEEKS. All these times were at no fault to ourselves, .they were all due to the lacking customer service and lacking professionalism of Home Depot. I then decided to make calls to complain and get a refund of my check that cleared weeks ago. Ive called every Home Depot number there is and talked to about every Home Depot Rep. Every Representative told me I was indeed titled to my money back and transeferred my to another number to find out how to get the check refunded. The last woman I talked to on Sunday, April 24 told my to go to the Annapolis South Home Depot and the manager my the name of Jerry would refund the money. At about 10:00 in the morning on Sunday, about a half hour after talking to the Home Depot Representative on the phone, Zak and I drove 30 minutes to the Home Depot Store. I a rush to find out were our freaking refund is. Jerry the manager agreed with our situation and told the Customer Service book worker by the name of Misty to refund our check. Misty looks in the computer and looks again. She told me her computer is showing a zero balance and that their store can not refund our check. I showed her both the cleared check and the bank statement and Misty said she couldnt do it. She also said the in her computer they have if down that the crew did come out on April 22, 2005. TOTAL BULLSHIT. Misty than made a couple of calls and sent my home with the name Dave Witmore and a number. I called the number first thing Monday morning. 1-800-79Depot, and no one knew who he was. I than tried calling Sharon again at 410-910-3239, no answer. I than called 1-800-908-9105, and they sent me to call 877-632-8346. I told my story to a woman on that number and she said she would have to call me back because her computer was loading. She never called back. After reaching the peak of frustration with this bogus and ridiculous company, I received a call on my cell phone. Her name was Julia and she was calling to set up a date to come out and install the big picture window on the front of the house because it had gotten broken in shipping. I than asked, WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER F**ING WINDOWS??? She was totally unaware that the crew indeed did not show up for the second time. I told her the whole story about TWICE WAITING AND NO ONE EVER CONTACTING ME. To this date Julia was the only one to EVER contact me. I made her aware also that we were insisting on our money back. Julia said she would find out were the check is and call me back before 5. Julia also said to bare with her frustrations to because Sharon quit and she has to handle all her jobs. I THINK my frustrations and stress are more of emergency because there is $1918.00 of MY money in these stupid peoples hands. ..Oh yeah, she never called back. I called her at 5:00 when I got off work and guess what .No Answer. I left messege. On April 26, 2005, at around 7 a.m. I called Julia again. She put me on hold twice and said her manager, Dave Witmore (the name Misty gave me two days ago) wanted to speak with me. Dave told me he was sorry about our job falling through the cracks but they DO NOT give refunds. That they want to make us happy and finish the job in a professional manner. Well, THE WHOLE TIME WE HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH THIS DUMB COMPANY IT HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT UN UN UN UN PROFESSIONAL!!! He said they would come up with a good date for us and schedule. I than asked about any type of compensation for both of us missing work for TWO days and he said that they can not do anything about that until after the job. Which means they want the rest of my money before the talk about money back, which I know is a scam. I dont understand why I cant get my refund or any type of compensation. Dave then suggested perhaps a gift card or something but WHAT DO I WANT WITH A GOD DAMN GIFT CARD!!! Both me and Zak called the rest of the day and left messeges and never got contacted back. It is now April 27, 2005. I placed my first call and left a messege at 8 a.m. with Julia. .No answer. SURPRISE! This whole experience has been a NIGHTMARE. This company is ridiculous and a bunch a crappy customer service and a bunch of lies. I want my money to be refunded IMMEDIATELY. Point blank. I want something to be done NOW!!!
