Maytag Electric Range Maytag Electric Range November 28, 2005 Hinges on the oven door of the Maytag Electric Range sound like the door hinges on a haunted house after the oven heats up, they creak and groan as you open and close the door. We have gone through four hinges and Maytag won't replace any as the range is now off warranty.
