direcway satelite sales & Hughes Network Systems, Inc direcway satelite sales & Hughes Network Systems, Inc November 28, 2005 When I shopped for a satellite system, I was told by DIRECWAY, that I would get a $100 rebate if I purchased their satellite. I did and after the second statement I received from them, which was a requirement, I mailed the application for rebate with all the required paper work. The requirement for rebate was the equipment and service had to be purchased between 2/1/05 and 4/30/05. Service had to be activated before 5/31/05. I purchased the item and activated the equipment on 4/7/05.the rebate had to be submitted prior to 5/31/05. I mailed mine on 5/15/05. They claim they never got it. I called on this matter several times for months and tried the e-mail address's given. No one could tell me anything but give me the same old runaround. One lady gave me phone number at Hughes network Systems to call. The only thing the guy was interested in was wanting to know how I got his number! Of course I didn't tell him. He wasn't interested in helping and seemed aggravated that someone should call him about something pertaining to his company? Now after all this calling and runaround, I was told to resubmit it and it would be honored. The problem is, You must have the original receipts, and required purchasing dates. They have the original, or at least it was mailed to them. Their is the possibility that they never got it? They should still honor the rebate offer from the date of purchase. I often wonder HOW MANY OTHER REBATES THEY DON'T GET/ WHAT A SCAM TO SAVE MONEY . If it was a legitimate offer, why wont Hughes Network Systems help out those with problems. Try to find something on the internet page they use for a phone # to call for assistance! I submitted an e-mail but it was never answered. I wonder if anyone else out there has this complaint. If we have to send something registered to make them acknowledge they received it, they should be required to put this requirement in their add.
