Menards Menards November 15, 2005 I have sent this to hundreds of friends, family, news, and contractors.
This is the email but I urge you to look at the complaint on the PDF file a the bottom. I have written this complaint a million times but I would love other people to know about this.
Everyone, I am asking the BIGGEST favor in the world. Jenny and I have remodeled the entire house which by the way looks great thanks to a lot of friends and family for all your help. We have had the worst nightmare with Menards, some of you close friends already know about this issue but let me explain this to those who dont. We had ordered cabinets and countertops a(along with drywall, and ALL the hardware to remodel EVERYTHING) with Menards and have had nothing but problems and issues with them, even after talking with managers at the kenosha location and get this, with the Manager of guest services at the Corporate office. Today threw me for a loop, after spending countless hours getting all our info together, we had sent them a full complaint with pictures, letters, and receipts, she tells me that they did not receive this info, I say what we sent this UPS we have who signed for it and the BBB received the same info yet we sent Menards to them Next Day Air. All we basically were looking for was apologies yet not even that yet. So now we would like some money in return after wasting thousands of dollars and spending over $15,000 with Menards this is all we ask. So here is the favor. Below you will see the number to the lady I have called and hangs up on me and says cant call me back, now that I know I will never get anything from menards I want menards to know that they will never see a cent from me or any of my friends and family. Please I ask you to conact this lady by phone, which will only take 1 minute of your time...PLEASE 1 minute of your time to call her and tell her because of the issue with Timothy Ruffner that you have yet to resolve and will pass the word on to more people that will never ever shop menards again. Think about it what will hurt them the most...yeah MONEY. Whether or not you want to shop there after this horrific expierence is up to you but I URGE you to PLEASE call her and tell her you will not ever shop there and am happy that there is a LOWES going up right next door to the Kenosha Menards. I have no other way to get back at them but to rely on my friends who have been so dear to me with this whole situation. Remember Jenny, a new mommy, and my son spent countless hours and months in the basement because they can not do their jobs correctly...And by the way this issue is still not being resolved to yet a cabinet they still can not get fixed. To top it off they wouldn't even come back and get the wrong stuff! Menards is a joke! Maybe the complaintant is one of those people that is never satisfied. If you ask them what it would take to make it right they give only EXCUSES and no solutions. I have had nothing but GREAT experiences from Menards and the only problem I did have was with a Whirlpool Dryer about 4 years ago and I was compensated well for my time and trouble. They even delivered the unit once it came in free of charge and I was contacted by TWO managers within a week of the delivery just to be sure everything was OK.
