LG 1.5 tons air conditioner

Dear Sir,

 

After sales service is more important than the sales part. However I thinks companies don'nt care for this.

 

I had bought a LG 1.5 tons air conditioner for my father in law living in Mumbra, kausa. I bought this on 20th of May 2004 from M/s. Jain Traders, Thane mumbai. However this A/c stopped working within a period of 6 months. It was sent the service centre , where it was rectified that there was a Gas leakage. Though the performance was not satisfactory however we continued using the same. on 30th of Oct 2005 once again it has stopped working. A new A/c if needs to be repaired in every 6 months ow does it sounds? It sounds worst if you have a reputed company's name (LG) at stake.

 

I have two options available currrently, either the Company exchange this A/c. with a new one or I will be forced to take the consumer court route.

 

Please suggest.
