Toshiba Computers Model: 1905 - s303 If you are considering purchasing a laptop computer, stay away from the Toshiba Satellite series of

computers. The day the computer was out of warranty the system crashed. Toshiba wanted a charge card number to answer any questions, I also had the extended warrenty. One day out of warranty and no service. Fortunately, I'm not a computer novice. Needless to say I was not happy with the money I had to spent. I expected the technology to become outdated but I did not expect internal not software related problems. Which means I could use my computer for at least 5 years. Now I copied the following from another letter on COMPLAINTS.COM_FORM_MAIL_61537# because it is the same problems I am having and it is not the series of satellite this person has. Mine is older. Toshiba's answer was to send the PC back to them for repair. This is not an option at all since I need my computer daily. There are no service centers near me. So they wanted me to drive out of state to a toshiba service provider or send it in. The latest problem is the worst however. The system overheats on a regular basis. When it does, it shuts off without warning. This has become a two or three time per day occurrence( mine does this 5-10 times a day). I started checking some user forums and found that I am not alone. Its a fairly common problem for their "A" series. Remember mine is not in this series. In dealing with Toshiba's customer service on previous issues, I have found them to be out of touch with

their customers. They seem to think that a computer owners should have no problem sending their PC out for service for a few days, or destroying their computer data just to get the system restarted. I went with Toshiba because I had heard nothing but good things about them. I'm here to say that they are over rated and they don't stand behind their product. I want my money back. I expect my PC to work when I need it rather than when it feels like it. Today I talked with a "retention customer service toshiba person". I Will never!!! buy another toshiba

I too am one of the unfortunate people who bought a Toshiba Satellite laptop (in 2004). It was in the shop its second month with a dead hard drive. After getting it back, I soon got to experience the overheating/power-off that so many other consumers did. It was like a summer traffic jam -- hot, loud, and slow. And extremely annoying.

After endless months in the shop, 2 failed hard drives, and a multitude of performance problems, the screen decided to fail as well. I have to angle and wiggle the screen every time in order to get a picture.

The Toshiba Satellite series of laptops is such an egregiously bad line of products that there should be a class action lawsuit against Toshiba and a corporate apology for inflicting so much pain and stress on their consumers. I will never - NEVER - buy another Toshiba product as long as I live. And if gifted one, I would return it immediately.
