Sony Service is Bull Shit

I purchased a DVD set RV 660D in abudhabhi (shopping mall) last year (march 2004) and I brought it to my native Dharwad (India). And after 9 months it stopped playing any CD/DVD/VCD’s simply it was showing ‘Reading’ but it plays Tape, Radio. Not any cd’s. Then I went to to Sony authorized dealer (RMS technologies Hubli) and gave it for trouble shooting in November. They kept it upto 2 months (up to December end of the month), whenever we called them, they were telling us that some part should come from Delhi.

So I went to its one of the Office in Bangalore, Jayanagar 5th block and enquired. When they called in front of me to Hubli office and they told me that please take this system to Bangalore office. as I am working in Bangalore I took 1 day leave and took the system to Bangalore’s office (RMS technologies, Jayanagar 5th block) here also this people kept it for one and half month here also the same answer since It was under warranty period and that period was also coming near.

When I told them I will write a letter this to Sony Company then suddenly what they did I don’t know. They repaired it in 2 days (actually they were telling me that it will take another 10 days.) and delivered to me(that is in February end of the month). The system was working fine till 2 months after it stopped suddenly showing same problem. I am using good company’s voltage stabilizer also and also valid disks. And this happened immediately after warranty period expired. Before delivering this RMS technology people ensured me that this problem will not occur any more. we fixed it permanently.

As I am lower middle class man, purchased this system by paying my one full month’s salary and I cant bare to repair this after warranty period. Because everybody knows that Sony companies parts and service charges are very costlier than other companies. I am not asking you people to give me a free extended warranty. I am just telling that that I am fed up off this product and this company also. And I can’t sell it also without repairing.

Now I am suggesting whoever is buying music system or any electronic Item, think twice by explaining my experience. If I am get repaired this system from outside local people defiantly they will do with original parts. Earlier I was thinking and telling everybody that sony company’s products are very good. It was my dream to buy one sony company’s product. After buying this DVD I felt that it was totally bullshit.
