Entered Target Superstore and shopped for groceries.

 

There were not a large amount of people in the store, but only 5 cashiers were working, 2 of them express lines. I had 87.63 worth of groceries and 3 lines had Hugh orders so looking at the express lines I saw that they had no one to check out. I asked a man if I could come thru his line, since he had no one in line and he said no, only 10 items on this line. He did not offer to check me at the next line. I waited 15 min. while a slow checker worked on an order, and the customer had a small childs flip-flop and it was ringing up 19.98. The customer said they were 6.98.

 

Two floor people came over after no one in the shoe dept answered. They both went to check the price. The cashier started my order, explaining she would check the customer of the next register when they got the price. I waited until the cashier tried numerous times to key the price in and could not get it to ring up properly. She was not offered any help and time was dragging on. After a considerable wait the cashier came back and quipped "sorry" I told her that I was very disappointed in the service and the attitude of the employees. When I told her about the man in the express line, she stated. "Oh we can't do that because if a customer walked up with a couple of items we have to take them" I asked if she was telling me that a customer with a coke or 1 item came thru that they were more important than I was with a large order.

 

She stated that she didn't want me to be upset with her or the company. I told her it did not make sense, and I could shop elsewhere in the future if that was the case. She offered a coupon she said they used for customers who had to wait in line too long. She asked the floor person if she had one and the woman said "That is only for credit card sales, she can't have one" My husband had talked to this floor person moments before, so evidentially she didn't like hearing a complaint and was not going to do anything for us. She did not apologize to us at all.
