I love pay at the pump- in fact even if the gas is cheaper but they don't offer pay at the pump I'll usually drive off. I was so excited when I found a gas station that was cheaper by 4 cents and offered pay at the pump. Too good to be true indeed. After struggling with the CC reader I relucantly left my car at the pump and went inside. After pre-paying with my husbands CC inside I went back to my car only to struggle some more-this time with the actual pump.

I drove from the pump to the store. I went in and simply asked the clerk to credit the amount back onto the card. The manager came over and offered to go to the pump and assist me in the process. I had already wasted enough time and repeated that I wanted my money back. After holding up the line with an absurd confrontation I ran out of the place in a huff, without my credit and with the manager screaming that he's going to call the police because I was using someone else's card. Is he right? Now I'm not sure if I should fight the charge or leave it alone in fear that I could get in trouble for using my husband's card.
