I too have this charged on our credit card with TWX*IIA AIM CALL OUT as the name. This is the FOURTH item of fraud that has posted to our credit card in a month, and we have since closed that account down and are in dispute over this and other transactions. My husband used a Hot Spot at a coffee shop in the same month while meeting with a client so I am now suspecting that ALL these fraudulent transactions stem from that one Hot Spot use! Close that card number down and protect yourself as credit card companies will not protect you themselves!

As of 2008 the 888-265-9269 number is now being used by AOL AIM Call Out. This is a valid product and valid number. It is officially AOL and they handle fraud very seriously.

If you unauthorized charges from 888-265-9269 now in 2008 then call them and they will help you.

This also indicates that your credit card information is in someone else hand other than AOL. AOL is not to blame here but someone that got a hold of your information. As per previous 2007 charges they cannot comment on as this is entirely a different ship under command of the number.

We had a $25 charge from this number, they used an AMEX card that neither my husband nor I have used in years, we don't carry it on us anymore so they must have gotten our number out of paper work or some other way. My husband found this post so we called the credit card company directly as opposed to calling the number on the statement. AMEX said we aren't liable for the charge and we closed the account just incase. Not sure what will come of the investigation, if we find out anything else, I'll post again.

I had the same number when they attempted to do an account authorization fee of 2 separate transactions, so they could come back and charge my paypal debit card account. I found out it is the Trilegiant corp. They have been sued in multiple states for fraud and deceptive practices. I too never signed up for anything, nor cashed any checks to enroll me in anything. Unfortunately, they got my financial information from Netflix. Do a search on this company because they are in bed with AOL, Netflix, Blockbuster, Chase Bank, Bank of America, Macy's, Sears and the list goes on and on. They get your info from big corporations then they scam you. Yes, the very baking institutions you do business with sells your private bank info to this scum of the earth crooked company. I would suggest looking up Trilegiant on the bbb.org site. There are many class action lawsuits against them but they continue to remain in business doing this. Time to write your congressman or woman and put a stop to this!

I have about $8,000 of fraudulent charges in November 2007 on my credit card from this number. The credit card company has started fraud investigation. Hopefully something will happen.........but I doubt it.
