CIC Credit Monitoring Service CIC Credit Monitoring Service
I did order a copy of credit report from Experian/Trans Union/Equifax and authorized a one time charge for $24.95.
What I did not authorize was a credit monitoring service for $8.95 a month. I emailed CIC Credit Monitoring Service with my complaint and they replied and acknowledged service will be cancelled. However, this month I found that the charges occured again on my credit card as follows:
04/13 04/15 75182545104978288462458 CIC*Credit Monitoring 800-2202626 CA $8.95 05/13 05/16 75182545135978437400584 CIC*Credit Monitoring 800-2202626 CA $8.95
Please offer some assistance as my credit card company advised that I deal with CIC directly in which I have and to no avail.
Sincerely,
A.C. I called CIC and was given a long run around. I had to repeatedly ask "so is my subscription cancelled?". I got the feeling they weren't going to cancel, so I called my credit card company. They were familiar with CIC and said I needed to cancel my current credit card, and that they would issue a new card. I was then transfered to another department, where I asked to be credited for the CIC charges. I filed a report with my bank and they refunded me the money back. If you have problems with any of these companies contact your bank and they will dispute the charges with the company directly that way you don't have to get all stressed out.
