May 19, 2005:

This is an update on an earlier complaint. Today is May 19, 2005 it has been 30 days since my returned order (which should have been canceled) was signed for by their reception person "Himes" at 10:09 am in Vista California. Still no credit has been posted to my account. The only recourse I have is to call them and be lied to. I'm not wealthy enough to take them to court. This matter and their failure to act on it has now cost me another overdraft fee on my credit card. If they would do what the say I would not be getting any charges.

I believe they are based in California.

My complaint is in regards to their return policy and the failure of the call center workers to be completly honest.

My husband and I both ordered the free trial offer with the understanding if we cancelled within 30 days we would not receive any further shipments. I called within the 30 day period and specifically asked to cancel both orders as the product did not work. At the end of the call I even double checked with the representative to verify both cancellations and was told that they were cancelled. Imagine my surprise when My card was billed 106.00 !!

When I called to ask about it I was told that an order had shipped. I explained that both had been cancelled and I wanted a credit immediately. I was told they could not do that until they received the package back and that it would be 10 business days before my card would be credited. Understanding that I waited for the package and then returned it immediately.

The shipper shows the package was signed for on April 19 2005 and Cigarrest shows they received it on April 20 2005. It is now May 12 2005 and still have not seen a credit. I have called several times only to be told by various representatives "it takes 48 hours after accounting is notified".

Their mistake by not cancelling both orders as requested caused an overdraft on my card which cost me in interest and fees. Cigarrest did not even offer any compensation for that. The last representative I spoke with, sad to say, told me to check my account Friday or maybe Monday!! I think I have waited long enough, unfortunately I have no recourse except to call them after each failure to receive my credit.

Thankyou
