This complaint is about Sony playstation portable:

San Diego, CA 92127 I purchased a brand new Sony PSP (playstation portable) which claimed to play mp3s and videos. The games play wonderfully well, but trying to get it to transfer music (mp3s) has been a nightmare. I feel that there has been some misleading of the public and may even go so far as false advertising, but must be investigated. Big corporations can cheat in more than one way. They don't have to do it the Enron way. My system is Windows 98. Nowhere did I see on the packaging or contents that it would not work with Windows 98. When I spoke to the technician he gloated that they had upgraded all their computers and hadn't misled anyone about the product.

When you buy computer software, they even tell you system requirements. Lots of people still have Windows 98 and maybe a few 95. Of Course, corporate America moves forward but they need to be honest with it and stop forgetting the billions of people who support their paycheck. If there were statement about the requirements, it must have been such insignificant print that no one would see it. They need to really make people aware of what's going on with their product before they print up their documentation.

Instead of telling me that they hadn't mislead anyone, they should have been offering more comments on how to solve the problem or future developments which would help to alleviate frustration. I think Sony should compensate people for misleading them. It would have felt a whole lot better if I had purchased the product and knew up front that it wouldn't work with the Windows 98. I would have known the ramifications, but it took all day and into the night to finally stop trying to transfer the mp3's and realize something was wrong.
