I'm currently using an ISDN line from Telkom SA. I reported the faulty line on the 16th of March 2005 and recieved a call reference 500291174. I stipulated that the technicians make an appointment since it takes me an hour to get home.

 

They did make appointments but never kept the appointments. They do not show up even the same day. This morning on the 30th of March 2005 I had to find out that the call is closed and it is stated that the call was fixed. I had to report the fault again. This time the call reference is 500504913. In South Africa we are used to wait up to a month for calls to get fixed and/or phones to be installed. All I want to be sure of is that when I report a fault I can rely on the fact that Telkom will get around to fix the problem and not just ignore the issue. Currently I sit without any service. I want the ISDN service fixed. Should the line be out of service for more than a month I will initiate legal action to legally claim rental until it is fixed. Current legislation forbids any other party from supplying fixed line services. Tnx & Bi
