Budget Rent a Truck, Redding California

I rented a truck from Budget dealer in Oklahoma City, OK to move to Jacksonville, FL. The truck I was given was very old, dented and rusty and was unsafe.

The headlights did not work (which meant I could not drive after dusk and required an additional day and night on the road); the turn signals on the car carrier did not work (which meant I could not change lanes); the truck would not go over 55 mph and dropped to 35 mph on grades .

And, finally broke down completely - luckily after my furniture was unloaded in Florida. I reported all of above to Budget Rent a Truck headquarters in Redding, CA. Their response was that they do not guarantee a working vehicle. And, they sent me a $25 "rebate"(?) on a subsequent rental!!! The truck, and the company are beneath contempt.
