32” CRT TV from Philips

To Whom It May Concern, My name is Nguyen Ly I bought a 32” CRT TV from Philips on 5/23/2004 for $349.99 and it just recently no longer able to operate. I called Philips repair center and found out that the TV is under warranty for replacing part only, but not for the labor.

Philips only have third party contract that can fix the TV in San Diego, CA; however, when I called the contract places, it would cost $180 to fix the TV. The TV costs $349.99, and the cost for labor is half of my TV. This is ridiculous and unbelievable.

My TV is not even one year old, it only been 9 months old. The labor warranty only covers for the first three months, which does not make sense. I thought one year warranty includes both labors and parts. The only help Phillips can offer is to give me different contract places so I can find better deal.
