I ordered a digital SLR from A&M Photo World. The Canon 20D is a pricey camera, and they offered it at a significant discount. I ordered via the web, but got a message saying I was supposed to call to verify my order. When I called, I specifically asked, “is this the USA Model with USA warranty”, and the man on the phone replied “yes, of course”.

I then asked if it was in stock. I got another YES answer. Well, after about 20 minutes of hard selling, I agreed to a package (dumb, dumb me). They shipped it overnight (which comically took a week). I received the package with missing or incorrect items. Considering I spent about $650 more to get the package, I was immediately miffed. I called the phone number right away, and a rude salesman argued with me saying that none of what I said was listed on the order. Finally he said he would ship it right out to me. Well weeks came and went and no items were received.

I called two more times and engaged in the same song and dance. Nothing came. Finally I called my credit card company and they launched a complaint. I still have not received my correct items. At this point, I don’t want ANY of it, but I can’t return the items without incurring a huge restocking fee. Plus I would lose on the shipping cost which was astronomical. I have been buying items from web sites for years, and I am feeling very stupid for being suckered into this crap. One other thing to note – their anti-fraud certificates, posted all over their web site, go no where. Their certificates are fake!! Don’t think you’ll be the one who gets the good bargain from this fraudulent company. If you do say no to all the extras, like many other companies, they simply don’t ship your item. Then you have the added stress of knowing they have your credit card number and could use it at any time. SIGH!
