I ordered in 11/2003, I never received my laptop from Dell. It was delivered to another person with the same name as myself. When I called customer care they gave me her social security number on the phone and her address trying to understand the problem. I must add I made about 10 calls to Dell about the order that was delivered to her in California and billed to me.
I am sure they are giving out my personal information to her as well. One supposed representative had me on the phone 2 hours, never understood how to help me and never did. Wherever the call center is the people have severe language issues as well as being inept at their jobs. It was delivered to California 3 times. I wrote a complaint with no response as was the protocol.
I finally received it in March of 2004. Of course they began billing me with immediately the first delivery date. I paid in good faith, my first payment before delivery.
When I called about reimbursement no one seemed to be responsible. Customer and Preferred Account were separate entities and both pointed at each other. None took responsibility.
Of course, because I do not consider paying Dell a priority they harrass me when my bill is 15 days late. (Even though they never responded to my complaints or my lack or reimbursement) Today they informed me I was in collections. My problem is of no concern to them.
I have never dealt with such a poor customer service/company in my life. I will never deal with the company again. And I am their biggest fan. I TELL EVERYONE that Dell is risky to do business with. They get alot of promotion from me now.
