Thermador CM302 double wall oven Thermador CM302 double wall oven
I have a Thermador double wall oven that is 5 years old. The display panel "burned out" and was not visible. The Thermador 800 number reffered us to a local repair shop. The solution we were told was a new control panel. Almost $500 later we could see the display again.
This is agently used oven and I think the premature failure of the panel is a manufactuing defect. From the many other complaints on the site, I am certain it is a defect. Any assistance Thermador would like to provide would be appreciated and expected. I have a C301UB and am concerned about my display burning out prematurely. I also do not use my oven very much. Have you received any other comments? My question is if the replacement part is an improved display model and will rectify the problem of any future failure or will you and my neighbor have to replace the panel again in about 5 years. My oven is only three years and I thought I was buying a superior product. At the cost it should be.
