First Flight Aviation & Pilot Training Center at 2826 Perimeter Rd. #106, North Las Vegas, Nevada (at the North Las Vegas Airport) is committing consumer fraud and bait/switch. They advertise "Low Cost Flight Training", and I purchased a gift certificate for my husband for Father's Day for a 1 hour introductory flight lesson, a polo shirt, and a log book. There is no expiration date on the certificate.

When we tried to redeem it a few months later, we were told by Jane, the owner, that she wouldn't honor it because her prices had gone up. We showed her the certificate, which stated that is was good for "1 hour introductory flight lesson, a polo shirt, and a log book", but she said unless we paid the difference she wouldn't honor it. She offered our money back, but at this point it is the principal and I think she needs to be reminded that there are consumer fraud and bait/switch laws.

Jane either needs to use expiration dates, or she needs to only use dollar amounts on the certificates instead of stating what services were purchased.

Lastly, we went down the road to a different flight school and purchased the same package for less, even though First Flight advertises that they are low cost. Terrible customer service (or lack thereof), especially since this was supposed to be a pleasant Father's Day gift.
