Travelocity agreed to reissue credit for unused air travel, gave a reference number and when I attempted to use the credit, they would not honor the agreement but gave me the run-around. While waiting to hear from them, I had to obtain travel elsewhere.
They also made claims that they could not find certain information or had to contact the airline or tried to refer me to the airline directly, stating they were a clearing house and not a direct participant in the process. My question then, who was making the transaction for me?
The behavior I experienced was the following: I was on the phone for hours then referred to the reissue center after calling the numbers provided. Each time I explained the situation and then each time I had to call back, after extended quays, I was repeatedly transferred "to an inter-department area", where I waited for over one hour without having an answer, or placed on hold when I asked to speak with a supervisor. Their way of dealing with callers is to initially answer the call, place it on hold for extended periods or ignore the person completely.
This type of behavior may provide some benefit in the short-term, but sooner or later if this behavior persists, they will go the way of other useless, negative, incompentent, potentially fraudulent or inappropriate ".coms"....
All I want is what every other complaint seems to request and that is simply good customer service, appropriate treatment (i.e. honesty) and the refund or credit due them.
