Enterprise Car Rental Enterprise Car Rental
On March 11, 2005 the ladies from a local church in Odessa Tx had reserved a rental car with Enterprise for a shopping spree trip in San Marcus and San Antonio Tx. They had reserved a Surburban with Enterprise two weeks in advance.
There were to be a total of seven ladies making the trip with luggage for the week-end. On Thursday, March 10, one of the ladies went to Enterprise to check on the reservation and to confirm that we would be getting a Surburban. There were two there and the attendant told her it would be one like that. Upon arriving at 7:40 AM Friday morning to our surprise there was no Surburban and no larger vehicle to accommodate us.
They offered a Tahoe and a Pick-up truck (no charge for the pick-up) but the group did not want the added expense of gasoline. One of the attendants told us that there was no way they could gurantee a particular type vehicle. My question was, then how can you make reservations for multiple riders if you can't honor a guarantee?
We settled for the Tahoe which was most uncomfortable and the packing was difficult. The fact that we expected to return with more than we took made it even worse. I have used Enterprise for more fifteen years, but this encounter has turned me against them and I think it is a shame that a company has that much stroke, to ruin another person's plans!
