To Manager Tata Indicom, I hope this complaint will form a basis of some kind of introspection and will lead to a process improvement for people working at Tata Indicom. I have been harassed by Tata Indicom people like anything for getting a wireless phone connection. I would suggest all people to reconsider their decision if they have any plans of going for this service. I was happy to see some people filling applications for consumers at 8-30 pm on roasside stall of tata indicom. I was happy to see the service offered for the people who are tied up in office till late evening. I filed an application with a deposit on 4th March 2005. I was assured that I should be getting a connection within 4 days as I had my own house and working with a good company to leave any chance for failing verification. Someone from office called after 2 days saying he missed 1 page from agreement and he needs to visit me 1 more time. I had mentioned while filling form that I will be available at home only after 7-30 pm on weekdays and almost whole day(if informed in advanced) on weekends. Inspite of all this someone visited my house for verification after 6 days at 12-30 pm in noon to find door locked. Report was sent and anytime I used to call helpline people used to ask for 48 hrs to take a new complaint and ensure I will get connection soon. After 2 more days on Sunday someone came for verification and assured me I will be getting phone in 48 hrs. After waiting for 48 hrs I called helpline again to find out that verification comments are not logged. 48 Hrs after that when I called they told me someone visited my place at 5 pm yesterday to make a connection.(This is again inspite of being informing clearly about timing). Today when I called what happened to my application, call center people are saying as per verification “ You are not eligible to get the connection”. No body knows the reason. I wasted almost 2 weeks and ended up without a phone… Best part is within first 6 days even without verification, my deposit cheque was already cleared and now I have to wait for 15 days to get my deposit back. Tata Indicom will use my money almost for a month. I only know how much time & efforts I have wasted in following up and how much would have been my mobile bill. Anyways, a lesson learnt !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks & Regards Swapnil W
