this is a reply to http://www.complaints.com/directory/2005/march/10/11.htm ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ok initially the first part of this individuals complaint has nothing to do with the current owner, never did and we have no connection whatsoever with the previous owner ’ I purchased this auction from ebay (#5152156653) on Jan 3rd, 2005, where I get a full year of web hosting. The listing also promised excellent and speedy customer support with responses within hours, and 99.99 uptime and many other promisses. I immediately paid in full through Paypal. I had problems with this from day one, and after a lot of emails backward and forward, I was shocked to be informed without any prior notification that my hosting account was transferred to another server which forced my sites to be down for 2-3 days as we had to change the DNS servers. This was on Jan 17th. On Jan 20th I again was informed that my account ended up on the wrong server and had to change DNS’s AGAIN, resulting in yet another 2-3 days of down time!’ As soon as we took over the business the server was having problems (even before we took over) because Webbez.com was also hosted on that server it wouldn’t of surprised us if support emails hadn’t got through, with us having know idea an email had been sent from persons such as B. Khoury and him receiving a bounced/undeliverable email notification so he could attempt to contact us via different means. All emails between B. Khoury and webbez.com were answered and we have conclusive proof of that, If for some reason emails hadn’t got through, we would have know knowledge of them and cannot be held responsible for not answering them. The previous owner sold B. Khoury Reseller web hosting for $34.70 PER YEAR with 5GB webspace and 50GB bandwidth per month. We now provide clients with hosting on 1X dedicated intel Xeon 3.0ghz HT, 2GB RAM, 73GB SCSI hard drives and a dedicated Pentium 4 2.8ghz HT, 1GB RAM, 80GB ATA hard drive which both receive at least 99% uptime which the clients that have continued to keep hosting with us will backup. Personally we don’t not think $8.68 per month is a lot for a 5GB/50GB account with 99% uptime expensive by any means of the imagination, in fact we would say that is probably one of the cheapest prices anyone can get a package like that even with the 200% price increase. B Khoury’s initial reply to our price increase email was- ’in fact I am NOT prepared o pay a cent more than what I already paid for one year of service already’ He didn’t attempt to discuss what changes would be made to the service, what improvements would be made and most certainly didn’t attempt to solve the issue in an amicable manner or provide and resolutions to the situation. In addition, web hosting is intangible goods. If someone can wear a pair of shoes for 3 months and then return them to the shop and expect there money back they are mistaken. The business was making 80% losses and it was a choice for B Khoury between paying $8.68 per month for reliable hosting or being forced to move to another hosting company and pay $15 per month upwards because we would be forced into dissolving the businesses assets. As B. Khoury says- Now these people have entered into a contract as the ebay rules and regulations state, they did not honor and are in breach of this contract: By NOT offering the support promised.

By NOT responding within the time frame listed.

By requesting additional funds for the same service when the contract has 10 months more.

By NOT keeping the uptime promised.

-Firstly the ebay contract is between the ebay seller and the ebay buyer, We DID NOT sell the hosting on ebay the previous owner/individual did.

-If anyone wishes to email us, your email will be handled in a time manner now the servers are working correctly.

-If anyone can find a 5GB webspace/ 50GB bandwidth web hosting reseller for $2.89 per month please get in contact also ANY hosting companies that can offer that package and not make at least 10% loses please please get in contact with us, we would like to know how you do it.

-the clients on the dedicated Xeon and Pentium 4 will backup our 99+% uptime. Anyone is free to get in contact with www.webbez.com we would like to here your views on this subject, we believe it is ridiculous that we should be expected to provide outstanding hosting when the total income of supporting this account would come to $2.89 per month, we also feel it is very unfair ruining the reputation of a business that was the previous owners fault and we are now getting the blame for it. If anyone requires any further information on this subject-including proof of costs, proof of new server, proof of uptime, proof of losses, the emails between webbez.com and B Khoury please please get in contact with us. March 10, 2005 - Consumer Message:

On Jan 27th in response to yet another problem with the server I received the following email “Hi there

this is new management we will try to sort out your problem as soon as we can, it may be down to the server as it is overload due to past management Apologies for the inconvenience

Regards Webbez Team ” I said OK, great maybe now we get somewhere, but how wrong was I, this new management is so bad they even stopped any support ( at least I did not get any) and although their above email promised a solution I never received one or any communication from them till Mar 7th where in an email I received they are requesting a price increase of 200% per month! I emailed them that I am not prepared to pay additional charges to a contract that we entered in a couple of months ago for a whole year. I also requested refund of my payment if they do not accept and honor the contract. Their response was basically is pay or else your account will be cancelled in 5 days! Now these people have entered into a contract as the ebay rules and regulations state, they did not honor and are in breach of this contract: By NOT offering the support promised.
