I bought a Toshiba p25-s607 portable computer (giant laptop) at a best buy in Dedham, MA about a year ago. It was around $2k. The big 17" screen is amazing but the machine has some problems. The internal wireless adapter died on me, slowly, painfully. It just cut out more and more until I realized what was going on and bought a Netgear pc-card wireless adapter and shut off the internal one.

The power cord has something wrong with it and I have to jiggle it occassionally to get off battery power and back to the outlet power. Also (and I'm not sure about this cuz the documentation is terrible) but the DVD writer only seems to write in DVD-RAM mode (not very usful) and does that extremely slowly.
