I bought an ott-lite from an infomercial which said you would receive a table lamp free with the purchase of the stand-up model. When I received it, I did not like the stand-up model because it was too short. I called the company to tell them I was sending the lamp back, and asked the customer if I should send the table lamp also, because I was returning the stand-up model. He told me that I could keep it because it was free. He didn't mention one word about paying for postage. It cost me about $25.00 for postage. I just received my credit card bill and they charged me $14.95 for shipping for the small lamp . I spoke to the supervisor and she's telling me I had to pay extra because it cost them more to send it. I told her it was in the same box, so what's the difference.

She told me that I would have to send back the lamp in order for her to credit my account. Now I have to send the lamp back and pay another $14.95 for shipping. It doesn't make sense. I will have no lamps, and I will have paid $54.90. To me, this company is unethical, in that the customer service rep didn't mention anything about paying postage for the "free lamp". His name was Trey, and he looked up my records from the last call I made, and gee, he doesn't have anything on record telling me it was free without postage. Isn't that a coincidental mistake? I would recommend that no one purchase from this company. They are misleading and fraudulent.
