My father passed away in Feb 2004 and my parents had an interest only loan on their home. I went searching for a better loan that my mother could afford to pay.

I ended up with Ameriquest. All seem to be going fine, but they kept coming up with "oh you have a lean on that property" or we need to pay this or that to clear up your credit!! We let them pay all these things off and had a clear title on the home and received a cashout to do some home repairs.

When the first statement came in from Ameriquest, the interest rate was higher!! I called the man that did the loan and he said "oh you must not have been paying attention when your mom was signing the papers"!!! I said oh yes I was and I have a copy of the papers she signed! The interest rate was suppose to be 5.6 but changed to 6.1 ! He never got back to me on this.

Then my mom wanted to refinance again to get more cash out for repairs to the home and we received a phone call from Ameriquest asking if they could help her with that because "she was such a good customer" so again we went with Ameriquest! DUMB DUMB DUMB

All was going along when they popped up with "oh you have a late payment reported on your mother that she was late on her Feb payment to Ameriquest" I said WHAT? no way it's never been late and wait a min how can it be reported late when we are in Feb and the month is not over yet????? No way! They never removed it even though I pointed out their mistake!

Then when the loan was already to sign and be done they called and said " your mom is 85 and there cannot be a payoff penalty on her" "we have had to change the loan and now the interest jumped from 6.5 to 8.5 because of this payoff penalty"!!!! Out of desperation we went with this loan but let me tell you one month later, we refinanced with another company, got 5.6% interest, lower payments and no ripping us off! Ameriquest charges $11000.00 to do a loan with them, the new company only charges $4000.00!!!

Ameriquest keeps calling the house asking "where is your monthly payment" WHAT? you were paid off dorks!!! "Well we don't show that and until we do, you need to keep making your payments"!!! NOT GONNA HAPPEN! "We might have to send this over to forclosure" OH YEAH? GO AHEAD AND I WILL OWN AMERIQUEST!!!

DON'T DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE! THE LEFT HAND DOESN'T KNOW WHAT THE RIGHT HAND IS DOING!!
