1(800) 220-0605 I received a few calls from these guys over the past few weeks. After the third call, first two I saw the caller ID but didn’t know who they were and there was no message, they left a message for me to call them. The message basically said this: “Mr. XXX please call this number, here is a reference number you will need, there is an important matter about you that I need to decide what to do”. Now, the woman didn’t tell me who she was or why she was calling. Just a very cryptic message that left me to believe that there might be something important I need to know about. So I called the number. I got in touch with the woman who left me the message, I asked her from what type of company she was calling from and why she was calling. She asked me for the reference number, I said I’ll give it to you in a second, you called me and I would like to know what type of company you are calling from. Her response was to be rude and say, “I don’t have time for games” and hung up. I “googled” the company this morning and found a number of complaints on the internet. I noticed that most times the people did owe money but for various reasons could not pay. I don’t owe anyone money, well except for a lawyer for about $300 who overcharged me for some work. But I have no outstanding debts to any creditors. Upon further reflection, I believe Sears has had this firm call me about six months ago and said I owed them money. I asked for the SSN of the person who owed the money and as it turned out they had the wrong person, same name wrong person. The tactics at that time were unsettling, the man on the phone was quite combative and when I told him he had the wrong person, he hung up on me. No apologies, he was just rude. The reason I wrote this complaint is because the tactics are unprofessional and I could see how this firm operates. The tone of the woman’s voice was very combative and she didn’t appear to want to learn anything. Quite frankly, I’m guessing that she is calling the wrong person, again, but didn’t bother to try and figure that out. Be careful with this company and if they call you, make sure they got the right person and please don’t be bullied by this firm, remember we all have rights and they cannot put anyone in jail, as they have threatened.
