UPS UPS
UPS, Terrible customer service, no problem resolution!!!
I have been waiting for 3 business days to get my package delivered by UPS. I called at least 6 times, talked to many people, went to the headquarters but still haven't received my package. Here is my letter to them.
Dear Sir or Madam: I am writing you regarding #****************. The item was delivered to my house on 6/2/05 and I called the same night your offices asking if the package could be delivered before 10:30 (an option that is listed in your slip) or if they could leave it at the door. The lady told me that the can not leave it at the door or deliver at a specific time, the driver would bring the package over next day between 9-5. Since there was no other option I decided to stay at home on 6/3/05 and wait for the delivery. At around 2:30pm my friend came over with a UPS notice that was left on the door again. I was really upset because I took a day off from work, and I was at home since that time and expecting UPS but the driver apperantly did not bother to buzz. I immediately called UPS office and they said they would call me back. Someone called me from 617-923-3101 saying that they would call the driver to see if he could stop by and bring the package. They called me back at 7:13pm saying that he wouldn't be able to bring the package back but they would hold the package in their Watertown facility and I could pick it up that night. I said that I wouldn't be able to make it on Friday and asked if I could pick it up on Monday, and the lady said I could stop by between 8-6. Today I left early to go there and when I arrived at 4:30 my paclage was sent out by a truck. The employees were rude and not willing to help at all. They said all I could do is to come back and pick it up from the Watertown facility. Even though on Friday I was told that my package was ready to pick up at Watertown, employees there believed that it was impossible. After a huge struggle trying to explain that it is the UPS`s responsibilty to deliver the packages not the recepients responsibility to go many times to pick up the supervisor who happened to be there asked the employees to call the driver but the driver AGAIN refused to stop by on his way back. After many phone conversations and 3 business days later I am STILL waiting for my package. I am now told that I can go and pick it up AGAIN tomorrow. Hey of course, I have the time, I can drive miles to go there again and again and again, so I will keep trying until I get the package. And most importantly in the future I will make sure I will not use UPS for myself or my business ever again.
