I have a name for my pain and the name is COMCAST. I had digital cable for about a year - with constant problems.....Black screen, pixilation, etc. (I never had the HBO west channels on my HBO package because of the low signal). After calling time and time again, each time a new cable guy would come out and ask what the problem was....attempt to fix it.....fail to fix it.....and say they needed to put in a Special Order Request (apparently to get someone out to my address who new something about cable). "They'll call you sometime this week to set up an appointment". Never happened. Finally had enough - called and cancelled my service. Or so I

thought....next month I got a bill. I called customer service to get it fixed. "Don't worry sir, your account has been credited". Thank you! Next month - got a bill. Not only for this months service, but the service from last month that I thought was credited. What is going on? Called back - this time I managed to get a rep that gave me her supervisors direct number (she must have been new), and probably was fired the next day. Well now I had a direct line to a supervisor and I didn't have to play with the automated phone system. However, everytime I called - got voicemail. She called me back and told me it was taken care of. "Don't worry sir, I have fixed everything - you don't owe anything." Thank you! Next month - Comcast Account placed with Credit Protection Association I called the Credit Agency to dispute the claim. Then called back the supervisor at comcast to find out if I had truly entered "The Twilight Zone". What happened? "I'm sorry sir. I had to get the credited amount approved and it takes a while for that to happen". Apparently it takes longer for a credit to be approved on an account then to send that account to collections. She told me "Sorry, and that it was taken care of". "Are you sure?", I said. "Yes, she said" Thank you! That was in November 2004. I hadn't heard from Comcast since.... July 20, 2005 - I got a letter - Comcast Account placed with Credit Protection Association - same account? YES. My head exploded. I don't know what to do. I have started to call Comcast everyday - and that supervisor will get a call every hour until she calls me back. Needless to say....I'll be waiting for her call watching my DirectTV. Zack
