For several years I've had an account with Wachovia for both shares and cash. I'm a citizen of the US but live in the UK. I've just been notified by Wachovia that because the United Kingdom is on a 'restricted list' for international business, they will no longer operate my account and have given me 3 options for closing it down. No warning or further explanation was given. Is this acceptable business practice?
