Trafalgar Highlights of Eastern Europe Tour: FIFTY-TWO (52) travelers crammed on a bus which could not navigate some city streets, one local guide for 52 people meant not hearing unless you pushed to the front, which some did;forty plus minutes in a stopped hot bus for passport control because of the number of people; waiting for room keys, meals and everything else and a tour director too harried with the mundane to give any individual attention. Apparently, Trafalgar cares more about profit than satisfied returning customers. We will never use Trafalgar again and urge others not to either.

Whats wrong with you? You go on tour to learn about history, culture of a nation, a place, see famous buildings etc. So you call "St. Andrew" an ugly little town? There is nothing to do there? Are you kidding me? There is sooo much to see and learn about! Museums, churches, statues, galleries, local folklore artists! And its so beautiful and well kept! About the water: doesnt matter where you come from and where you go, you could have troubles with the local water because it has different chemicals and bacterias in it than your body used to. So its recommended to drink bottled water EVERYWHERE you go! Hungary has cheap bottled mineral water, since we have so much of it! The tap water is safe to drink by the way. Anyone who is interested in "St. Andrew", check it out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Szentendre And for you who wrote this pitiful, stupid comment, why dont you just sit at home on your couch eat your McDonalds and watch something on TV of your level...like the Maury show! The tour itself was fine, but there were so many holes in the tour itinerary. First of all, we were supposed to have visited Kassel on our way from Berlin to Warsaw, Poland. That was not included due to road work of some sort. Then, we were looking forward to going to Potsdam in Berlin, but that optional excursion was eliminated. In Budapest, we spent very little time in the city itself as we were bused to an ugly little town called St. Andrews. There was nothing to do there but shop and eat and it was very crowded. We ended up spending the whole day there and the Tour Director told us it would only be for a couple of hours!! Our Tour Director also neglected to advise any of the passengers that it was necessary to buy bottled water as in Poland, the Czech Republic and in Hungary, the water is highly chlorinated and can cause stomach distress. It was only after another passenger on the bus mentioned this is how we found out. Also, I got ill on the very last night of the tour at the farewell dinner and absolutely nothing was done to assist me. We were in Frankfurt and the dinner was not ending for another hour. I told the Tour Director and he did absolutel nothing to help me get back to the hotel. Luckily, it was nothing serious, but it would have been nice to have a little concern here. I have been trying to get answers from Trafalgar since I got back from the tour in August and I just keep getting the runaround. Just the other day, I finally got a response from their headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland and they denied everything. They even said that the cities that were supposed to have been included in our itinerary were not on the itinerary (even though they are right there in writing) and they took no responsibility for anything and offered no real apologies. What a shame it is when a company is more interested in money than the care and safety of their passengers.
