Six Flags America Six Flags America
P.O. Box 4210 Largo, Maryland 20775 (301) 249-1500 Speaking as a former, annual, season ticket buyer (X4), I am glad I didn't buy them this year. My wife is a VP for a local cotracting company and they hold their annual picnic there. (I doubt this will happen next year). My complaint stems from this years picnic which we attended at the noted park on 25 Jun 05. The park ran out of cheese burgers at or around 06:00PM. They had no ice at several locations and served (very) warm gatorade anyway. I overheard one of the employees say, they were not going to get anymore ice because they were tired of walking back an forth. The funnel cake was burnt. Close to half of the rides were closed. Of the ones that were open, many were not properly attended. Patrons were cutting the lines and doing as they please while others suffered. We have been season ticket buyers for at least 7 years. Not this year. It bothers me most because we had a nice place to go and be entertained, that is not too far away. Our household salary is very sufficient and we like to support our local business. We will not be going back to SixFlags this summer. I can't believe, Six Flags does not understand that if they let service slip they are going to lose the people that have money to spend there. Many of my co-workers already rather go to Kings Dominion in Va. I hate to admit it but they were right. Six Flags is going down hill. It's a shame to see an establishment that has been around as long as they have, self destruct. Three friends & I attended the park. It was very dirty & the papa johns employees were rude. They acted angry that we ordered a whole pizza (which is on the menu) & stated "you'll have to wait, there's other people in front of you, you know!" But it was our turn in line. Also the cashier threw down something that looked like a bag & stated "I hate this job!" We had to clean our own table as best we could to sit & eat. On "the joker" ride we asked the attended how to buckle the seat belt when he was checking seats. He ignored us. At the end of the ride he opened the exit gate by pushing it into a boy (around 10yrs old) & didn't even say excuse me. The whole day we only rode 3 rides because the rest were closed. I did have a much better experience at Kings Dominion & it was much cheaper.
