I have been using bell services in ON for 9 yrs now and truthfully I think that this provider has to be the worst company in Canada. This year I bought a dual system satellite dish for father's day and was told that it would cost me $79.00 after rebates. I bought the system for the full price and continued to hook up the system in my apartment. When I called bell they told me I had to have the second receiver hooked up before June 19/2005 which I did and I would receive my rebates.

 

Today 29 June 2005 I received my first bill for a total of $91.98 and no rebates. I called the provided number and contacted billing. I reached someone whom barely spoke English and this person tells me that it could take unto 90 days before I get my rebate. No one informed of this all the time I hooked up both of my receivers.I asked to get a number to contact the complaints department and he gave me a mailing address. I asked for a phone number and he tells me they have no such service.

 

This is just the first of my complaints with bell. My telephone service was supposed to be hooked up on a Wednesday after ordering it through bell world in Petawawa. On Wednesday I called bell Canada and they didn't receive any order. So they put it through on that day and I would receive it that Friday. Which I did receive a phone on Friday but not my number. It was my next door neighbors. I called bell Canada again and they said that a person would be out to fix it the following week. Well no one showed up and the phone didn't get fixed for 2 more days.

 

The third beef I have with Bell Canada is my internet service. I called in and got my internet service and as promised it arrived in the right amount of time. When I tried to hook it up I couldn't. Apparently their was a problem between the bell building and my apartment. This took another 7 days for them to fix. All the while I paid for service I did not receive.

 

The last problem I have to mention is with my cell phone. I bought a new cell phone in January and again their was a problem getting it activated. Apparently I was given to numbers for the same phone and neither got activated. I called bell Canada and again I had to straighten this problem out myself.

I am sick and tired of the service which bell Canada provides. They are the first one people think to call and most people have service with. This is probably why they offer such poor service because most people are trapped by the big bell corporation. Please tell me why I call a service and never get a person who talk English with ease. you really never know what they are saying and they tell you stuff that they don't know what they are talking about. I would like for you to help me with these problems and hopefully give me some answers. Unsatisfied Customer
