I purchased a top of the line Stern & Foster mattress in Nov 2000, with a 10 years warranty!!

After noticing discomfort in my back, one day I finally lost my mobility for solid two days and did not report to work.

I stopped sleeping on my Stern & Foster mattress. In the following ten days I was unable to do my normal routine, could not sit or stand without severe pain in my back and slept on the floor and later on a $40 air mattress. The pain was gone after few days and I was fine. To make sure I was not imagining the problem I slept one more night on the mattress after I had felt completely recovered. The pain and discomfort came right back.

The company inspected the mattress and rejected my warranty claim saying the indentation should be 2 inches or more!! What a lemmon. The warrnty agreement is really a predatory policy and advertisement to fool unsuspecting customers that they are buying such good mattress, but reality is may last mattress at $200 and 12 years of service that I tossed, did not show any indentation at the time of discarding! S.
