Flooring
.....Now I know why they changed their name from just "Empire Carpet" too many unhappy customers from one company, just keep changing your name.
Unlike you see in their commercials, you won't meet some salesman who just wants to give you a great deal, we had two seperate estimates, and the second salesman told us "just tell me what the other guy quoted you and I'll beat it, we set our own prices based on how much money we want to make that day" (Commission) So after this guy drops $1500 off the price of the first guy we get our installation, not by the clean cut caucasion guys from the commercial, but a truck load of questionably legal non-english speaking gentlemen, who actually did a good job until it came time for the finish work (trim pieces) oops, they didn't have those.
Then actually asked us if WE had any!!!!
Needless to say they left without completing the job and it took 3 weeks and a dozen phone calls to Absolutely Rude "Customer Service Representatives". It was only taken care of after we called the credit card company to place a hold on their payment. Word to the wise, even if you choose to use Empire Today, use your Credit Card!!! If we had paid cash we would have been screwed!

We had "Empire Flooring" to install
our floor May 2006 with a ad saying
No interest or paayment for one year.
They sell the contract to a outside
Bank and they don.t live up to what
that AD you see on TV.
We are about to go into court in
Glen Burnie, MD now because the Co.
GE Bank is trying to recover the
interest. After the one year we paid
cash, just as we was told at the time
of the sale.
