I hired Singh construction (Bakersfield, CA) to pour concrete for an extended patio area and around the side of the house. When I hired them, I asked about cracks in the cement and how they would handle that. They replied that they have never had anyone calling them back about cracks, but that they would fix it if it did occur. I hired them to do the work and one week later, I noticed a large crack on the side of the house that was 4 feet long. I contacted the company to ask them to fix it. They sent over a man who didn't speak english very well, who just went ahead and cut a deeper line into the crack that was already there.

I was very upset that they not only didn't fix the problem but caused another one with an unsightly cut down the cement. I called the main contact person and asked him to come take a look at the fix. They came one day and didn't offer to fix it until I hinted at taking them to court. They said that the guy who laid the cement had to take a look and agree to fix it first. That guy did come by and agreed to take care of it later since he was very busy at the moment. He told me he would call, but never called. When I called him, he set up a date but never showed up. I called back again and he scheduled another date. I was home the entire day that he was supposedly coming to fix the cement. However, he didn't arrive at the time frame he stated. I called him and he told me he was at the tool rental shop and that he was 20 minutes away from my house. I waited one hour, then two hours. No one showed up. Finally, when my husband came home, I asked him to call. The guy said he came by and waited for 30 minutes but no one was around. He lied because I was home the whole time waiting for him, plus the gate was open so he could have gotten in to fix the cement. I don't think he came at all! He was just making it up to make it look like he was attempting to take care of things. I would recommend that you all stay away from this company. I don't think they even have a license. They don't seem like they are a professional crew and they don't keep their promise. I would never do any business with this company or their brothers landscaping business.
