I bought a car 9/2001 and when I had worked with the Dealer they told me they had the car I wanted (sunroof and all). So I got the car AND the extended warranty. January 2005 my sunroof stopped working! It will only open or close when you hit one of the two about 10 times consecutively while hitting the other button. It is an ASC sunroof so it is really hard to find someone that does those anymore (since 2001 was SO long ago). Koons has been VERY UNHELPFUL since I have been trying to get this fixed through them since Jan 2005. NO call backs, NO Help whatsoever, and when I do get a human being on the phone, they tell me that this is NOT their department and they will transfer me (to a voicemail), and I get NO call back. I have called every week since the problem and NOTHING. I finally got annoyed with the unresponsiveness of the phone calls so I took it into the service dept. They said they could not fix it since it is an AFTERMARKET SUNROOF!!! AFTERMARKET??? No one told me this was an aftermarket anything! So not only can they NOT fix it, it is NOT under warranty since it is aftermarket!!!!!! At this point I was MAD (other words for this are more appropriate, but not pc). They told me they would give this over to Maria who is in Aftermarket dealings and she would research, find the paperwork and get it fixed. Yeah right! Where is Maria, what is her number, who knows-she has not returned my calls either. Then I called the service department back and NOW they won't return my calls!!!! I got a call for a phone survey to see how the service department was when they "worked on my car". HAHA-did this woman get an earful (however I was not mean to her since it was not "her" fault). About a couple days later I got a call from Virginia at Koons (only after threatening to find and contact Crystal Koons). Virginia was most helpful however all the information she gave me was wrong! She gave me the sunroof people for a different sunroof and they cannot help me. So I called her back (at her Cell number she gave me so that I would not get the run around and I would ALWAYS be able to get her since she carried this ALWAYS). YEAH RIGHT-I have left 2 messages in the last weeks with "the cell phone" and called Koons, with...yep...NO calls back!!! I started looking online for American Sunroof Co., ASC Sunroof, ASC, Inalfa sunroofs', and nothing worth of information for my area, not even a product guide. So I will call them again a couple more times and then I will get an attorney, since to fix the sunroof could be pricey. I will however NEVER buy another car from Koons!!!!
